Long distance education
At ComunaCiencia we work in a remote format through different virtual platforms and covering various connectivity options. It is not necessary to have an internet connection to participate in our activities or projects.
Strengthening Scientific Literacy
We promote the development and strengthening of key competencies and capacities related to the area of science that have been identified in the National Curriculum for Regular Basic Education of Peru. We are especially focused on inquiry and the scientific method.
Community Building
We build a community of
learning through sharing knowledge between school students and experts in different scientific disciplines. These exchanges transcend the barriers of distance and the complex language of science.
Environmental approach
We work with an environmental approach, aligned with values and attitudes of environmental justice, solidarity and respect for all forms of life.
Better citizenship and coexistence
We strengthen in a transversal way the values and attitudes of Peruvian students for a better citizenship and coexistence with nature through education based on scientific research of the environment.
We want each student to re-discover their environment through science;
observing, asking, discovering and sharing their findings.

These are small challenges where we train students in the observation and analysis of the nearby environment through scientific activities and guided by the experts.

Projects
Following the scientific method and guided by their teachers, the students will develop a research project specially designed and advised by the ComunaCiencia team and experts in science over several weeks.

Exchanges
These are unique opportunities for students to videochat with experts, ask questions about their curiosities about the natural world, how is it like to be a scientist, as well as sharing their scientific findings.
